Election 2008

The national bowel movement has begun. It's more uplifting than I can remember in a long time.

Give us your tired, your poor, your freshly breakfasted. Your veterans, your power-tied, your bullet-headed. Give us your suspicious, your guardedly optimistic, your wide-eyed. Your huddled masses yearning to believe.

No matter who wins, with every free and fair election in America, the terrorists lose.

  1. I used the opportunity of standing in line this morning to lobby my fellow line-standers to support early voting in Michigan. "Bored? Rather be home? Inconvenienced? Me too! Lets get early voting so we can do this when we feel like it instead of making it an obligatory appointment in our schedules. This seemed to make sense to every one of those people wasting time standing in line.

  2. Damn, you're right, there never was early voting in Michigan. Alice says there's early voting in Ohio only because this is a battleground state, but it seems to me it must be a state law regardless.
